i'm back from hawaii. here's the lowdown:

we arrived in oahu at about noon on friday. we went to our hotel, the maile sky court, and dropped off our stuff. we were on the 39th floor with a window facing the ocean. it was a really small room, but we knew we wouldn't be spending much time in it except for sleeping.
we were located at the beginning of the main strip that runs through waikiki. we checked out the touristy area first. they have a lot of upscale stores like chanel, tiffany & co., versace, etc. and everything is full price. no discounts there. but then there were tons of little souvenir shops that are really cheap. anything you see in one store you can find in another store for cheaper. they also like to barter so we got some beach towels and the gifts for friends at very reasonable prices.
since hawaii had the whole gay marriage thing tony and i figured that it would be okay to walk hand in hand for the entire trip. we didn't get any flak though most tourists had to look to be sure of what they were seeing.
we went to the beach and it was so awesome. the water is so blue and so warm. we walked down to the gay section, which really wasn't so gay. we were told that the whole area had be re-done over the past three years. i guess that part of the beach used to be really crappy with not many trees or grass in the park area. it all looks really beautiful now.
later that night we went to bars. angles and fusion are the ones that were close to our hotel. we hung out and took in the culture. the bars were very suburban, which was a nice change. and boy, they like to drink out there. i drank a lot during our entire trip. more than i ever usually do. we then got tired and headed back to the hotel to go to bed. more on the trip tomorrow.

american juniors:

i think the kids are lip-synching to songs they recorded earlier. what a lame brit move. the only lip-synching i want to see is by a six foot man dressed like a woman.

you know what pisses me off to no end at work? when end users come to me with computer problems that aren't work related. "i can't see this movie preview in quicktime. can you fix it?" what the fuck? get to work. if you are doing something that is not work related, fix it yourself or tough titties. what sucks is that occasionally the request is from a big wig. in that case i'm okay with it because i'm not about to lose my job because i chose not to install realplayer on the boss's machine. but as for the "others" - leave me alone. i got enough shit to do. i'm sorry you can't see your sister's precious little daughter in a duck outfit RIGHT NOW!

Did you know that Pink's new song Feel Good Time was actually co-written by Beck? Beck co-wrote and recorded the song 2 years ago with William Orbit but it never came out. The Charlie's Angels folks got wind of it and actually wanted to use Beck's version in the movie but he wasn't up for it. Pink heard the song and decided to cover it for the movie soundtrack

last night i couldn't fall asleep so i stayed up until about 1 am playing wolfenstein online. i cannot reccommend this game enough. also the later at night you play the better the players are attitude-wise. some guy asked, "where's everyone from?" and i mentioned san francisco. of course, a bunch of them asked, "are you gay?" and i said, "i sure am." and then they all laughed - but not in ridicule. it was more like, right on for admitting it. then we all played as a team and wiped up the other team and i was the highest scorer in most of the wins. it little glimpses like this that shows that maybe america is changing slowly.

i also got a request from someone to try out for my gay clan. and it's a girl! this is going to be fun.

do any of you play on XBOX live? nate just bought me return to castle wofenstein:tides of war for the XBOX and it is an excellent online game. i'm trying to start a clan or something for the gay gamers out there. unfortunately a lot of the gay gamers just have to bite their tounges when they hear other gamers calling people fags and whatnot over the headset. i'm thinking if i build a team of gay guys and start kicking major ass it would be a fun thing to brag about. for some of the kiddies online i think it would be worse that being beat by a girl. so, get in touch with me if your interested.

last night we went to taco tuesdays with skot and paul. we had a good time and good eats. paul had to use the restroom and was waiting a while so he decided to go in the ladies room. he opened the door and there were two women totally going at it, pants around their ankles. zoinks! i mean, you always see that type of stuff with gay guys but tearoom sex lesbians? you go girls! sisters are doing it for themselves and all that jazz.

tony and i got the animatrix and watched it after dinner. run - don't walk - to the store and buy it! it is so awesome and fills in a lot of gaps in the matrix movies.

our old house had three bedrooms. the master bedroom was where my parents slept and the other two were flip-flopped between my sister and me. one was about twice the size of the other. it was funny because my sis and i would just decide, "let's switch" and we move each other furniture around. i think it got to a point where my parents weren't sure where either of us were sleeping. eventually in my late teens i decided to stay in the smaller room. i had a loft bed which had my dresser and desk underneath. there were three shelves on the opposite wall which housed my stereo, books and games. below the shelves was a bedside table that had all of my products for my hair. on a little hook hung my blow dryer. i had a good sized mirror on the back of the bedroom door that i used every morning to primp in. next to the loft bed was an old telephone table that housed my nintendo and my little color television. i won the television at the grand opening of a local bank. earlier in the week the bank had sent flyers out that had a little key taped to them. you were then supposed to go to the grand opening gala and try your key in a lock. if it opened you got your choice of a color tv or a vcr. they were pretty nifty prizes. we went and tried our key but it didn't open the lock. i was pretty bummed but then i saw my sister rummaging in this giant fishbowl. you could pick a key from the bowl and try it out. jen then informed me that all of the keys were exactly the same. the light bulb went off in my head and i quickly started holding bunches of keys together to find one that was different. i found one. i ran outside and tried the key and *bing-bing-bing* i was a winner. people gathered around me and dropped a huge television box into my arms. pictures were taken and then they whisked me away. i was completely dumbfounded because i had never won anything before in my life and i didn't really win. i kinda cheated. as we were heading towards the car to go home my sister was begging my parents to let her go back in and pick another key. i remember hoping that they would say no because who would believe that a pair of siblings won prizes that day? the jig would be up and i'd have to return my precious tv. fortunately they did say no and we went home.

i think because it's been hot at night yoshi has been sleeping in her own bed in the living room. but every morning when she hears our voices she starts meowing as she walks down the hallway. then she jumps in bed with us and lies on tony. i think she likes him more because he usually feeds her. anyway, this morning she started by lying on tony's belly then slowly made her way up his body until she became a siamese neck wrap. her face was in my face so whenever i opened my eyes she'd be staring intently at me. the cat is nuts.
