well i'm back for the moment. i've been busy trying to figure out how to get my work situation in better shape. i work for a university that has a ton of bureaucracy and i've been agonizing with getting a title change and a raise for about 8 months now. it's really ridiculous. but since the manager quit, i am now the oldest employee on the project, so i have some leverage. today i'm marching myself into HR and demanding (alright - politely asking) that they get my paperwork together and give me what i deserve. i'll probably walk out with a pink slip.
