last night i went to the grand opening party of the clift hotel and restaurant. it was recently bought and remodeled by Ian Schrager (former owner of studio 54). john, bart, james and i got there around 7:30 and the place was gorgeous! free drinks and food all night long. paul oakenfold spinning. Kyle MacLachlan sat at a table near us and i was dying to tell him that i loved him in 'showgirls'. well, actually i loved crystal conners - but don't get me started...
i got pulled aside for some photo ops with a fashion magazine. i say it's vanity fair, john says it's vogue - as a fashion don't. we were snooping around and found on the second floor this hidden room that was white walls with all white furniture. white orchids sat on the glass tables and on the opposite wall was a flat screen tv. we sat in there for what seemed like hours and one of the waiters found us and served us food and drinks the whole time. we wound up leaving at 12, drunk and feeling fabulous.
